Forfar moved a step closer to cementing their Division Two play-off place with a comfortable 3-1 win over lowly Alloa.

Martyn Fotheringham gave the hosts a 23rd-minute lead when he beat his marker to Mark McCulloch's cross before nodding the ball into the bottom corner from close range.

James Lister drew Alloa level 11 minutes after half-time when he met Michael McGowan's cross before guiding the ball into the bottom corner.

The lead lasted just four minutes, though, as Christopher Templeman fired Forfar back into the lead from close range.

Ryan Dow then stretched their advantage, securing the points in the process, when he buried the ball in the bottom corner from the edge of the 18-yard box just two minutes later.
